Out of Print…but Not Out of Reach

Many of you know that before we brought Indie Theater Now to the digital universe we used to publish an annual anthology of new indie plays called the PLAYS AND PLAYWRIGHTS series. We actually did a dozen of them, from 2000 thru 2011. Some are still in print, but several sold out their first editions, which was great.

But here’s what’s greater: we have brought many of the plays collected in these out-of-print editions to ITN, and today we announce three new anthologies on Indie Theater Now:

  • Plays and Playwrights 2001 features six of the nine plays from the original book, which was our 2nd anthology; works by Julia Lee Barclay-Morton, Trav S.D., Adrian Rodriguez, Jeff Hylton & Tim Werenko, Edmund DeSantis and Joshua Scher
  • Plays and Playwrights 2005 brings together eight of the works from our 6th annual anthology, including plays by Qui Nguyen & Robert Ross Parker, Kevin Augustine, Paul Knox, Eric Kochmer, Margie Stokley, Alberto Bonilla, Stephen Svoboda and Neal Utterback
  • Plays and Playwrights 2007 offers five of the plays from our 8th collection, which only recently went out of print; it includes works by Ashlin Halfnight, James Comtois, Stan Richardson, Brendan Bates, and Tom Rowan

I hope you’ll check these out — it’s great to revisit these works that helped pave the way for where indie theater is today.
