ITN’s FringeNYC Plays Win Awards
Last night, FringeNYC came to its conclusion, ending as it always does with a big party for the participants where, among other things, the festival’s awards are announced.
I’m delighted and proud to note here that several of the plays in ITN’s FringeNYC 2016 Play Collection were among the honorees!
- In the playwriting category, Kevin R. Free was cited for NIGHT OF THE LIVING N-WORD and Dahn Hiuni was named for MURMURS AND INCANTATIONS.
- For best overall play, PUCKER UP AND BLOW by Daniel Reitz and THE RADICALIZATION OF ROLFE by Andrew Bergh were among the winners.
- David Leeper, co-author of AT THE FLASH, was a winner in the Best Solo Performance Category.
- And acting awards were received by the ensembles of Kirk White’s COLORBLIND’D and Kathleen Warnock’s THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF…; and by Meg Kelly of Susan McCully’s KERRMOOR and Taylor Turner of Michael Bradley’s THE ILLUSORY ADVENTURES OF A DREAMER
So already nine of the 33 plays in our collection are award-winners! We pick ’em well, if I do say so myself. Check them out! And congratulations to all of the winners.
